Please join us to meet Jasmine Stitt of Caltrans Bay Area (District 4) Pedestrian and Bicycle Branch. Stitt is all-ears to learn more about how Caltrans can help shape a better multimodal future for El Cerrito and Richmond Annex. Come prepared with your ideas, suggestions, and questions. We will also make the final decision regarding our name change (Hint! Hint!: El Cerrito/Richmond Annex [ECRA] Walk & Roll).

Public gathering

THE STREET PROJECT MOVIE: Saturday, October 7, 9:45–11:45 a.m, Cerrito Theater: Join El Cerrito Strollers & Rollers, the El Cerrito Environmental Quality Committee, and Bike East Bay for a showing of The Street Project, a documentary about humanity’s relationship to streets and the global citizen-led fight to make communities safer.


After the 50-minute film (with subtitles in Spanish), a workshop will focus on advocacy efforts to make San Pablo Avenue from Albany through El Cerrito to Richmond more accessible to pedestrians, bicycles, and other low-carbon, multimodal mobility options. 


Walk or ride to Rialto Cinemas Cerrito, 10070 San Pablo Ave.; a free bike valet will be provided by Bike East Bay out-front. The free movie and workshop are appropriate for adults and children 8 and older. After the movie, we will continue the discussion at 11:45 a.m. at Tigon Vietnamese Restaurant, 10086 San Pablo Ave., steps away from the theater. Please register in advance at this link.
